Pol’ Atteu and Partik Simpson kicks off the official book tour of their Anna Nicole Smith, Portrait of an Icon, this week on June 7 at Pol’ Atteu’s Boutique in Beverly Hills California, you can view the invite here. You can also visit Rose Speaks’ youtube.com page to see the Pol’ and Patrik Extra TV interview. The proceeds from the June 7 kick off will go to the breast cancer charity in memory of Pol’s mother. Our very own Lyndal Harrington received a personal invite along with some of the famous who’s who of Beverly Hills and those people important in Anna Nicole Smith’s life to the book signing kick off party. It was an honor for Lyndal to be invited but the close relationship she has developed with Patrik during all of these interviews, I believe have gone from an on the record interview to a real personal friendship. BRAVO to our very on Lyndal Harrington for doing such a good job, from April 1 up through today and ongoing, on these series of interviews with Pol’ and Patrik. We hope we have additional interviews with them as they wind through the pitfalls of their own legal embroilment in these lawsuits. As Rose Speaks winds up our exclusive coverage and interviews with Pol’ and Patrik, there are a few things you will only be able to read here. Including, they say stay tuned as they plan a COMPLETE TELL ALL book on Anna Nicole Smith and those in her life and all of the secrets hidden that we don’t know about. That book will be out between 3 to 6 months from now. Can the life and death of Anna Nicole Smith with yet more inside information do well in a market with so many tell all books? Pol and Patrik hope so. Patrik did give us a peek into the deposition he had with all of the lawyers on May 27, yes, they moved his deposition up by one day. Patrik said it was very uncomfortable for him, because the room contain a total of 6 lawyers; Luke Lantta, John Patton, Krista Barth, for Howard K. Stern, Douglas Maynard for Hachette Books, Elizabeth McNamara for Rita Cosby and Eileen Keusseyan for Pol’ and Patrik. Although it was a crowded room it was that Howard K. Stern made a surprise visit and sat in for both Pol’ and Patrik’s deposition that caused Patrik the most discomfort and Patrik shared with us that Mr. Stern kept trying to steer the deposition from Rita Cosby and Blonde Ambition and onto their book and possible copyright infringement. However, Patrik reported that their lawyer, Ms. Keusseyan made it clear they [Pol’ and Patrik] would not answer any questions that were not directly related to Blonde Ambition and Rita Cosby. Patrik went on to say he was so uncomfortable that he became ill and had to stop the deposition with still about one and half hours left, and has been told that Howard K. Stern’s attorneys said they did intend to come back and complete that in full at a later date. Patrik had called me on the morning of May 28, from his home, sounding very ill, but wanting to make a full disclosure that during one of Pol and Patrik’s many yearly trips to New York in regards to The Modeling Association International, which Patrik sits on the board. They did have dinner with “Liz”, her assistant and Rita in mid March 2008, something that he had forgotten to tell us during the exhaustive phone calls involved in these interviews. I do have to say I respect Patrik about doing this with us, since he added that for some strange and unknown reason Howard K. Stern’s attorneys viewed that innocent dinner as something sinister. Mr. Stern’s attorney going so far as implying that Pol’ and Patrik had met with “Liz and Rita and Liz’s assistant”, in regards to a possible upcoming deposition and not as the harmless meeting and getting to know each other that the dinner was really about, per Patrik’s recollection of his deposition. One last note for those sites that are saying they had “written interviews” with Pol’ and Patrik and so that is what Rose Speaks had also, WRONG, we have had extensive phone contact with Patrik and a few times with Pol’. For those naysayers I would just echo what Patrik said in the past, Pol and Patrik’s home phone, cell phone, business and fax numbers will show that we did in fact have many calls for many hours in compiling these interviews. We here at Rose Speaks thank Pol’ Atteu and Patrik Simpson for their candor during the past 2+ months. We wish them well in the future with their books and raising their lovely daughter.
