Yes, Brave and the Bold Producer James Tucker is back for an unprecedented third interview with The Aquaman Shrine!
For this Aqua-Fan, Brave and the Bold is the gift that keeps on giving. After broadcasting Aquaman's finest TV appearance just two weeks ago, now we have an episode featurin...

Speaking of yesterday's lunch, this still from a recent episode of The Big Bang Theory was sent to me by F.O.A.M.er George Rears.
As you can see, there's a copy of Aquaman: Sword of Atlantis (along with lots of other DC books) right at the bottom center. Sweet--thanks George!

If you click the image, it'll take to you a page on Comics Continuum, which also features a video interview with Lauren Montgomery, co-director of the film and self-professed Aquaman fan (Note to Ms. Montgomery: Drop the Shrine a line sometime, we'd love to talk to you!).

Another batch o' Aquaman-centric "sketch cards" sent to me by F.O.A.M. member Christopher Chance. Thanks again Chris!
Like the first bunch I posted back in December, these are all from the Justice League of America trading card set, which are (maybe) still on sale. (Between me and F.O.A.M.er Georg...

Back in November, I wrote a post about my involvement with the Aquaman-related chapter of author James Kakalios' fun and informative book The Physics of Superheroes (Spectacular Second Edition).

This is another Aquaman T-shirt from the vast collection of F.O.A.M. member extraordinaire Russell Burbage.
I really like this one, the combo of the Aquaman stock pose with the water-ish pattern on the fabric. (Imagine what it might have looked like if they had used an Aquaman in his blue camofl...

If DC can build Mera up to a more popular character, then in the end that can only help Aquaman. Just like the way Hawkgirl, thanks to DC's efforts (and her role in the Justice League cartoon), is now a co-equal character to Hawkman, it'd be great for Aquaman--as a book--to benefit from the pre...

So the above is the first installment, featuring an attractive grid design, featuring mostly stock poses by Jose Luis Garcia Lopez (although the Aquaman shot is by Eduardo Baretto).
As we will with every one of these posts, here's what Russell had to say about it: "Then recently I found the...

F.O.A.M. member Ed Catto caught this interesting mention of Aquaman over on Neal Adams' site. Accompanying the above piece of artwork, this is what the legendary Mr. Adams had to say:
Also...I knew that Alan Davis was/is a big Aquaman fan, but John Byrne? I never heard that Byrne was a particular Aqu...

MONTGOMERY: I am a big fan of the original Aquaman design. I know he's dorky, but I like the orange shirt and I like blond hair. I don't want to explore the hokey Aquaman. I'd like to give him a serious story, just with his original design. If that's possible.

TAS: I was going to say, Aquaman does remind me a lot of Prince Vultan.
I have always liked his visual and think he's right up there with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman as an iconic superhero. Everyone knows Aquaman on sight whether they've read his comic books or not.

Earlier in the month, I put up the Shrine's first ad, promoting the 2nd edition to the book The Physics of Superheroes by James Kakalios. The other day, I went back and checked my Amazon Associates page, and saw that the Shrine helped move a surprising (to me, at least) number of copies! Thank...

A couple commenters on the original post mentioned buying more than one copy, as a way to goose sales and send a message to DC that people want to see Classic Aquaman back. That got me thinking.
I dunno, what do you all of you think? Any thoughts or ideas please leave in the comments, and vote in ou...

As you can see, Aquaman was a bit of an afterthought on the packaging: Superman's logo couldn't be any bigger, and poor Aquaman has to settle for his name being in plain text.

Hitting bookstores today is the second edition of Professor James Kakalios' book The Physics of Superheroes!

In this clip, they talk almost entirely about Aquaman. They poke a lot of fun, but at least in some different ways than we usually hear. I like the animation--its like Aquaman swam into an episode of Ren & Stimpy.

F.O.A.M.er Kristen Livingston sent me a link to Cracked.com, where they're currently running a feature called "If Aquaman Comics Knew How Much Aquaman Sucked."

This beauty--the second half of the Aquaman/Mera set--was waiting for me when I stopped in for my weekly visit at All Things Fun.
So I like I did with the Mera bust, I took ol' Arthur here down to the nearby lake--on another beautifully breezy, sunny day--and snapped some shots:
