By FLCeltsFan Its funny because all Boston fans think that Tony Allen is the key to shutting down Joe. Despite their 66 wins I believe the Hawks have the Celtics at a breaking point. They can come out and crush their spirits if the Hawks are on fire out of the gates. The west has a bunch of GOOD teams. Only one of them have ever won a title... That being the Spurs of course. No, truly great team would have lost 2 playoff games to this Hawks team. It's good that the Hawks won 2 games, but this Boston team ain't great. Boston will end it in game 6. Boston doesn't deserve to win no title. If they do, it's an injustice. Horford gets slapped in the face, the same thing he did against Garnett, no Celtic gets a tech, but Woodson does. By FLCeltsFan The Celtics flew to Atlanta and apparently left their defense in Boston. There was no sight of the league's best defense in this game as the Celtics allowed the Hawks to shoot 47% for the game and 56% from beyond the arc. Apparently the Celtics left their effort in Boston also as they allowed the Hawks to out-rebound them 43-35. The effort and focus just weren't there for the Celtics in this game and the Hawks made them pay. Mike Bibby put his game where his mouth has been as he scored 12 points and dished out 8 assists and led his team to the win. Josh Smith had one of the best games of his career finishing with 27 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals. Horford and Johnson also played very well for the Hawks. Their bench finished with 10 points and 6 reboun... [read the full post]

By David Friedman 2) Atlanta drafted a forward with its first pick for the 23rd year in a row (that might be a slight exaggeration...), taking Al Horford with the third overall selection. Stephen A. Smith opined that the Hawks should have taken a point guard (he never said which one) and Mark Jackson said simply that the Horford pick is a "bad decision" based on Atlanta's needs and the personnel that they already have (namely, a roster stacked with forwards). The Hawks did take Acie Law with the 11th pick, so they at least attempted to solve their point guard problem but I suspect that in a few years they will rue not drafting Mike Conley instead of Horford. The Spurs used two of their three draft picks on overseas players. [read the full post]
