(in Frank Robinson, 2003 Playoff Portraits #107)
Oriole fans, your 36-year-wait is finally over. I already went on at length about the new and long-rumored "Baltimore" road jerseys when word first leaked out in June, so I will say only a few words. I think it's fantastic that the team included Boog Powell and Jim Palmer as a part of the fan ral...

(in Bad Baseball, Real Bad Baseball)
While sitting in a intermittent rainstorm and wondering how bad conditions would be on Saturday, the Orioles perhaps had one of their worst innings that I think I have seen in person, much less in baseball — ever.

Many of us know that Dave Trembley despite the limitations of the roster he’s got have made the Orioles into a team that’s at least competitive — if not so much record-wise — in the vast majority of games that have played in 2008.
Take a read at what Peter Schmuck wrote this week in the Baltimore...

Other than that, the Orioles got spanked by the Angels on Wednesday; Lou Montanez hit his first major-league home run in his first ever bat, Nick Markakis' 3-run homer, and Payton's clinic in the outfield, there was not much else that could be said about the Orioles.

Luke Scott, who had been slumping pretty badly hit two home runs led the way. As well, Melvin Mora added a two-run shot — which hit the top of the foul pole (something I’ve never seen) and Aubrey Huff’s solo shot — his 19th — gave the Orioles a large enough cushion to earn the win.
