By LaRevolucion44@aol.com (Rokk Krinn) I noticed that Johns made sure that he had Nekron call Black Lantern Batman "Bruce Wayne" with quotation marks. This was a nice hint to the reader that Black Lantern Batman was not really Bruce Wayne. That Bruce is not truly dead included hints to the fact that it is not really Bruce and that Bru...

By noreply@blogger.com (Andrenn) Now with that said let’s move onto the comics. Of course the awesome final 2 page spread that just left us all excited for more. Sure, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow are all sure to be back to normal pretty soon but I’m certain that Ice will stay dead or maybe even Donna Troy.

By legacysword@gmail.com (Kevin) I loved Green Goblin in this episode. The writers have really handled him by making him really fun yet at the same time very threatening. It feels very close to the Mark Hamill Joker of Batman: The Animated Series. I know some people may like a more serious and dark Goblin but I love this happy and...

So let's see how Daniel's does i...

By legacysword@gmail.com (Kevin) Kevin's Review Batman: The Brave and the Bold has been one of those cartoons that I have been very mixed on. By legacysword@gmail.com (Kevin) I also like how Winnick has written Two-Face in this arc. By LaRevolucion44@aol.com (Rokk Krinn) Catwoman then asks what if she cleans up Gotham. What then? Will Batman then retire? Batman answers that cleaning up Gotham will never happen. Catwoman slips free from the cuffs. Catwoman says that her parents were killed, too. Catwoman says that Batman is not alone. Catwoman then disappears. Batman just stands there. The first story would be the "death" of the Golden Age Batman. The second story would be the death of the Silver Age Batman. This could be the metaphysical interpretation of how DC "killed" the Golden Age Batman to give us a much different Silver Age Batman. And then years down the road, DC "killed" the Silver Age Batman to give us the much different post-1986 version of Batman. [read the full post]

We cut to Bruce telling Alfred how time has flown by. Bruce stares at the display case with the Robin outfit in it. Bruce tells Alfred to say goodbye to the Batcave. That it is now just Bruce, Alfred and Gotham City. The Silver Age love interest is none other than the real Kathy Kane also known as Batwoman. Kathy Kane first appeared in Detective Comics #233 in 1956. Batwoman was then killed in Detective Comics #485. I have already glowingly praised this issue in my review. Suffice it to say that Morrison is blowing my mind with his Batman RIP story arc. This is an incredibly crafted mystery story. Action Comics #865 Daredevil #107 The Winner: Action Comics #865 However I had to give the award for Most Surprising Read of the week to Action Comics #685. This was a great little read. I was already to dismiss this issue as pure filler. That Action Comics #865 was just an effort by Johns to burn some pages and waste time until the next major story arc. I was wrong.
