Strange career choice," says Veronica. Ted may be the title character but the show obviously belongs to Portia de Rossi (Ally McBeal, Arrested Development) ...

Season 7, Episode 16. "11PM - 12AM" While Jack gets medical treatment, Tony and Moss go after the bio-weapon. Damages. Season 2, Episode 13. "Trust Me" Ellen and Patti have their final (?) confrontation. There are about ten incredible twists in this final episode. And I am delighted with eight of them. Two suck. Better Off Ted. Episode 3. "Through Rose Colored HAZMAT Suits" Ted brings his daughter to work. The cast are funny and likable, and the stories are fresh and different. It's a comedy unlike any other show on the air and if we lived in a sane world it would be a highly acclaimed hit... [read the full post]

I love Lost. I love Lost. Flight Of The Conchords. Season 2, Episode 10. "Evicted" Uh-oh! The last-ever episode? A wonderful episode all-round. Better Off Ted. Episode 2. "Heroes" I didn't realise that so much of the humour would be in the form of running gags. Sigh. I love it. And this episode made me laugh very heartily many, many times. But, if there is one thing we learned from Arrested Development, it is that people will not watch shows like this. No matter how clever or funny they are. So, all we can do is hope that ABC, at least, show all 13 episodes. [read the full post]

By podcast@mail2tv.com (RikerDonegal) Better Off Ted. Episode 1. "Pilot" I feel as if Victor Fresco has had a go at bringing back Andy Richter Controls The Universe. And I'm fine with that. This opening chapter is very, very funny and (just like ARCTU) has a fantastic cast. The Listener. Episode 2. "Emotional Rescue" Arsonist. Flight Of The Conchords. Season 2, Episode 9. "Wingmen" Bret falls in love. WKRP In Cincinnati. Episode 72. "Rumors" An episode with nothing very serious to say, and - oddly enough - the funniest WKRP episode in a while. Many, many laugh-out-loud moments and several cute plots where rumours fly around the station causing complications. The ending is too forced to be really funny, but it's a strong episode. By asepinwall@starledger.com (Alan Sepinwall) While I'm glad to have a new episode after that long hiatus, "Scrubs" unfortunately came back with what felt like its flattest episode of the season. And with only one episode airing at a time now, it's not like I could just flip on the next one in hope of a better "Scrubs" experience.

By Rick Porter Better Off Ted" is the kind of quirky, deadpan comedy I really enjoy, and the first two episodes provide a good number of chuckles and a couple of good old-fashioned out-loud laughs. Quirky, deadpan comedies, however, don't have much of a track record on television in recent years, and ABC...

Better Off Ted"is one of those quirky comedies that should draw a dedicated cult following while bewildering everyone else. It's a liberal dose of "Arrested Development" with dashes of "Scrubs" and "The Office" mixed in. The show premieres 8:30/7:30 C March 18 on ABC.
