Well, it's November, and the weather outside is cold and blustery. So I vote to stay inside with a warm and purry cat on my lap and a barrage of free and cheap e-books available for the month. My cat is all for this plan, in case anyone was wondering.

First it was Vicki holding on to a means to stop Henry, then it was Vicki and Mike side-by-side in the woods reflecting on unrequited loves and this week the show fades to black as the main guest character dies (a second time) and Henry backs away into the night. "Stone Cold" A solid case-of-the-week written by the person who wrote the books that the series is based on (Tanya Huff). Not only is the case good, but so is all the stuff between the three main characters and their messed-up love-triangle. The opening scene deals (very well) with the events that closed the previous episode and then we are launched into the case. A woman is turning men into stone statues. The story works and the writer uses it to (skillfully) make comments about sex-appeal, aging, love and romance. The cast (especially Christina Cox) are nothing short of superb in dealing with the statue and treating it as a real person.   [read the full post]

Lifetime said that they didn't like the fact that once the show was off we didn't stick around to watch any of their other shows and they said the ratings weren't all that great, although they renewed how to look good naked with the same numbers (1.3 million). So...

I am a bit behind the times on this...but, "Moonlight" is not on the fall CBS schedule. I was merrily doing research on the Fall Sci-Fi television options and I noticed it was missing. So, barring a miracle, RIP "Moonlight". You had potential.
