The Sun Sentinel has a rather caustic article that puts forth the fact that the tree teams accused of tanking last season ended up slipping down to the worst possible scenario for them in the draft. The article goes on to be very anti-Celtics. Should Boston's Danny Ainge be rewarded for trading for Sebastian Telfair at the cost of Brandon Roy? Should Memphis' Jerry West be bailed out after dispatching Shane Battier and throwing money at Brian Cardinal and Damon Stoudamire?

By noreply@blogger.com (FLCeltsFan) Well, the Pistons have finished off the Magic in 5 games. They won on the road and they did it without Chauncey Billups. That should concern the Celtics in that they haven't been able to get it done on the road in 5 tries at full strength. Another thing that is concerning is that the Pistons are now sitting back and resting while the Celtics are going to have to go at least 6 games and possibly 7 if the Celtics can find some heart somewhere. This is assuming that the Celtics can come back and win 2 more games. I used to think that the Celtics were a lock for the Eastern Conference finals but the way they have been playing I don't know any more. He had to give up Al Jefferson, Ryan Gomes, Sebastian Telfair, Gerald Green, Theo Ratliff and 2 first round picks to get him and immediately there was concern that we gave up too much in the trade and would have no bench. Al Jefferson was a very popular player and was just on the verge of breaking out as an All Star himself. So at first, the reaction to the trade was mixed. But when Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett appeared together at the press conference, most doubts were gone. [read the full post]
