By Ian Right now, it’s not looking like he’ll be a member of the Boston Red Sox. I sure hope that Red Sox GM Theo Epstein has a plan because Red Sox Nation will be all over him if he doesn’t bring in a shortstop that can get the job done. All you need to do is look at what happened to Julio Lugo.

It's pretty obvious Lugo just doesn't have the range to be a full time MLB shortstop any more. (Consider that Derek Jeter now has a higher range factor than Lugo does.) And two plays last night made that very clear.
