The Killers Make Life Worth Living external link

Rate   Spin | by Matt Kiser | Tue, Nov 25

The Killers: Day & Age  South Africa The Killers’ debut album Hot Fuss rocketed out of nowhere with its thundering pace and Brandon Flowers’s tortured vocals. Sam’s Town was just … weird. Now, with Day & Age, they iconicise the new synth-rock sound that’s coming out of London. ...

The Killers release their third studio album today (November 24th), titled Day And Age. The disc follows up the Las Vegas-based act’s 2006 sophomore set, Sam’s Town, which got some criticism for veering away from the dance-rock sounds of the group’s 2004 debut, Hot Fuss. There's very little Killers-bashing to be found at Idolator's island-resort HQ: Hot Fuss was a great record, and even though Brandon Flowers has some goofily grandiose ambitions at times (such as when he employed an oversized gospel choir for the band's 2004 Coachella set), we had high...
