So, it's not clear whether or not pop superstar Britney Spears has plans to peform (*ahem* I know what we're all worried about happening), but she will not only be in attendance but is scheduled to "kick off" the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards hosted by Russell Brand this Sunday evening.
