Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) is a former international spy who was unexpectedly “burned,” or blacklisted, by his former employers. He ended up in Miami doing odd jobs, which usually consist of helping ordinary folks out of jams that threaten their bank accounts or their lives.

Cultural Observations As for the plot itself, I thought it was well done: the integration of Moz into the case was really enjoyable, the tension between Neal and Cindiana was solid (Callie Thorne has now done the USA Trifecta of Burn Notice/Royal Pains/White Collar), and the tension abo...

This show most definitely fits in the USA Network’s slew of shows, which include Burn Notice and Royal Pains. It has good pacing and interesting chemistry between Matt Bormer and Tim DeKay, something that isn’t easy to fake. They work well on the screen, there is no denying this.

Michael And Michael Have Issues. Episode 4. "Pulling Your Weight" Black slacks off. There are flaws here (guest star Tricia Helfer is completely wasted) but - overall - I really enjoyed this and am glad I didn't write this off after the pilot. The best episode so far. Lots of running around and a story that you wouldn't see on any other show right now. And it's a fun story, too. Sure, people could die (theoretically) but this is a show like Burn Notice: it's fun to watch. Evan continues to get great laughs and is probably my favourite character in the show. He's a perfect foil for Hank and the show would be much weaker without him. One of the highlights of Season One.
