Runkle is packing his office up. He was fired. Sue makes some more inappropriate advances while Hank is in the more.

By range Karen, Hank, Felicia, and Stacey are in a meeting with Becca’s principal. Karen learns that Hank slept with Felicia. Karen and Becca go to Stacey’s place. Becca apologizes. Chelsea wants to blame her mom for everything. Stacey wants to screw Karen to get back at Felicia and Hank.

By range Californication title card, via Wikipedia Hank and Karen are skyping. She finds out that Becca is with them. She gives him some skypus interruptus. Jackie arrives with some liquor and some friends. Hank gets the fire extinguisher and puts out the fire.

By range I have a deviated septum. I need a favor Runkle, I need you to blow this up my bum, you know, tosh tutt, the old Coke in a can. No biggie. Sue to Runkle Hank comes home and finds Becca hiding Chelsea having sex with some dude. Hank sends them away. Becca leaves pissed.

For a brief and almost startling moment Sunday night, we saw something in Hank Moody that wea d never seen before: fear.

Somebody throws a punch this week, and it's Becca. Furious that her best friend calls Hank a homewrecker - a charge Becca grants is true, but can't abide - she pushes Chelsea into a vending machine.

By range It’s the season premiere of Californication, and it starts surprisingly. The show was very quickly renewed for a new season. Hank is very happy that Karen is with him. He enjoys feeling her up in the morning. Mia drops by. Becca isn't thrilled about the school uniform that she has to wear.

By Jason the TVaholic Show: Californication (Showtime) Rating: 2.5 out of 4 Stars Acting wise, it’s very good. Everyone on the show is very good in his or her parts. Especially, the daughter Becca, played by Madeleine Martin. The character is a bit odd, but she gets some great lines.

Here's a no-spoiler preview review with some of the highlights.... As with last season, Hank can't seem to get a break. But his surprising mixture of licentiousness and responsibility - at least, to his family and friends, if not to himself - makes Californication, even if it wasn't easy on the eyes, a show to look forward to.... Jeers, naturally, to dopey old Prison Break for mis-handling a behind-the-scenes problem. Episode 10. "The Devil's Threesome" If the last one felt like a season finale, then this feels like a whole new season. Charlie is living with Hank, Mia is showing Hank's stolen book to agents (specifically Dani) and Hank himself seems to be genuinely over Karen. While not as strong as recent episodes (all the Hank/Charlie stuff is boring) there is still a lot to like here: it's cool see Mia and Dani spend so much time together and their conversations are fascinating.   [read the full post]

What I will tell you is that David Duchovny was spectacular, as he was throughout the entire season. And Tom Kapinos' writing was brilliant as it's been throughout the entire series, too. In the end, Californication was really not about sex or nudity. It was about attitude. About not always ideal but more or less healthy attitude.
