Underwood to sing national anthem at Super Bowl LOS ANGELES – Carrie Underwood is going to the Super Bowl — and she'll be singing the national anthem. Underwood joins other big names who have sung the national anthem at the game, includiing Beyonce, Billy Joel and Whitney Houston.

For the third year in a row, the national anthem at the Super Bowl will be sung by an “American Idol” alum. Carrie will sing the National Anthem prior to Super Bowl XLIV in Miami on February 7, the NFL and CBS announced on Thursday.
