By podcast@mail2tv.com (RikerDonegal) 10.30 Rising Damp 11.00 Cavemen 11.30 Corner Gas 12.00 The Venture Bros. Cavemen. It's a bit too preaching (which can get embarrassing) but this is still one of the very best episodes. In this one, Joel is trying to bounce back from his break-up with Kate. When he hears that she hated his clothes he gives his wardrobe a total overhaul, and the entire plot thread yields many laughs. It's a good storyline. It captures truth: The moment after a relationship has ended when you still bump into your ex a lot and try to give yourself a total make-over so they will take you back. Highlight? Kate's mom talking about Joel's clothes. [read the full post]

By podcast@mail2tv.com (RikerDonegal) Cavemen. "Nick Sick" Nick gets sick and think he is dying. Meanwhile, Kate decided to dump Joel (for no apparent reason) and move on. She neglects to tell him this, of course, and he spends the episode chasing her to find out what is going on. It's a funny episode. Nick Kroll gets all the best lines/moments but Sam Huntington and Bill English are pretty close behind him. At this stage in the production, all three actors have a total handle on their characters and are able to get laughs by just reacting to stuff. Nick has no insurance, so he pretends to be Joel for a while. Stephanie Lemelin (who is incredibly hot) gets lots of good screen time in this one (which is incredibly wonderful). Her adorable character, Thorne, is nice to Joel through out the whole b... [read the full post]

By RikerDonegal(podcast@mail2tv.com) Cavemen. Episode 7. "Nick Work, Andy Jerk" Nick Kroll is usually the best thing about this show, and he's very good in this episode, but the most laughs come from Sam Huntington as Andy gets a really strong storyline. He's gotten himself a job, knee-deep in corporate America, and he doesn't quite fit in. Andy (being Andy) runs around trying to make friends with everyone. Which leads to meetings on "personal space" and so forth. Very funny and (as is often the case with this show) very insightful. Meanwhile, back on the homefront, Joel and Nick have a fight over Kate and Nick's treatment of her. Eventually Joel moves out and Nick becomes a total slob. While it covers ground familiar to anyone who has ever seen a sit-com before - to the show's considerabl... [read the full post]
TV Review - Cavemen

By beehive Despite my wanting to wish nothing but the best Nick Kroll in this, the show as a whole…sheesh, bad - even the help of one of the funniest people around in the form of Nick Swardson couldn’t help save this show. ...

By Alan Sepinwall Sometimes, I try to have a common theme when I do multiple shows in one post. Today's theme is a simple one: Stuff I Either Watched In Advance Or Got Through Before Falling Asleep On Wednesday Night, Plus "Cavemen." (Got all that?) Unconnected spoilers of varying lengths for, in order, "Push...
Review: Cavemen - Club me over the head and call me curious

By tube talk girl Cavemen Premiere date: October 2, 2007 Airs: Tuesdays @ 8 pm on ABC I admit it. Curiosity got the best of me. That’s my only excuse for watching the new ABC show Cavemen, based on the Neanderthals from the Geico Insurance commercial. ...
Opinion: "Cavemen" and "Carpoolers" premiere. Woo to the hoo.

By Melanie McFarland It is your friendly neighborhood TV critic's duty to inform you that ABC has two new sitcoms premiering tonight, "Cavemen" and "Carpoolers." And the premiere of "Cavemen," a half-hour comedy spun off from those Geico commercials, isn't going to change the network's comedy fortunes.

My plans to watch the new show "Cavemen" have been cancelled. Now why didn't you use the original "Cavemen"? They were the funny guys. Why are you using "newbies"? They just look like men needing a good shave and haircut. I think that was a big

There's no way this Caveman show can be bad. The 30 second commercials have more content packed into them than any 30 minute show on network TV and probably more content than the entire runs of the King of Queens or that series with the mullet-topped Jim Belushi. I can't wait for their sidespli...

By Mark Cavemen" is literally a thirty second commercial expanded to twenty-two minutes. But... it's actually much worse than that. Just like their source material, the origin of these domesticated Cro-Magnons is never explained. I guess "Encino Man" is part of the prequel trilogy. We meet these hum...
