By noreply@blogger.com (FLCeltsFan) The Bobcats always give the Celtics problems. This was a close one but Pierce willed the Celtics to a win. Tough one for the Bobcats fans at the end. At least there weren't endless posts on how the refs stole the game and how they need to fire their coach.

By FLCeltsFan Yups I think this turned into a throw-away game for both teams; only Bostons second-stringers wanted it more - well just because second-stringers do that when they can. Those 2nd stringers are TOUGH players; maybe not greatly skilled, but tough. Unfortunately the Bobcats weren't so toug...
Perk and Rondo Star as Celtics Beat Bobcats

By FLCeltsFan Tonight, it wasn't the Celtics 3 stars who got the credit for the Celtics' win over the Bobcats. It was Perk and Rondo, both of whom had career best games. Perk finished with 19 points on 8-10 shooting to go with 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 blocks. Rondo had 9 points, 6 rebounds and a career high 16 assists. On one play, Rondo got the steal and got to the hoop with no one around. He stopped and waited for Perk to catch up and tossed him the ball for a dunk. He could have finished himself, but he rewarded the big man for running the floor. Doc pulled Perk out in the 4th quarter as he always does and when Perk went out, the Celtics were up 13. When Doc brought Perk in for the final 2 minutes, the Celtics were up only 5. With Perk back in the lineup, the Celtics built the final... [read the full post]
Bobcats hand Celtics Worst Loss of Season

By FLCeltsFan The Celtics suffered their worst loss of the season last night under very unlikely circumstances. First, it was to the Bobcats who were only 1-11 on the road. Second, it was at home where the Celts had lost just one other game. The Bobcats played the night before while the Celtics were off since Saturday. And given all that, the Bobcats didn't just squeak by, the won by double digits. Maybe this will compare to the Christmas day massacre back in 1986 when they blew a 25 point lead to the Knicks and went on to lose in OT. That served as a wake up call for the '86 team and it may be a wake up call for this team. To this point the Celtics have been able to come out with poor energy and still pull out a win but last night they were unable to mount any kind of comeback as the... [read the full post]
Fantastic Finish

By FLCeltsFan Ray Allen continued to struggle with his shot tonight. He shot only 4-15 from the field and up until the last second of the game was 0-5 from beyond the arc. The Celtics were down 2 with 4.9 seconds to go in the game and Bobcats had possession. House tipped the inbound pass and Pierce got the ball and found Ray Allen all alone behind the 3 point line and for the second time this season, Ray Allen hit the game winner at the buzzer. It was fun to see Big Baby rush out and carry Ray off the court as the Celtics escaped with a 96-95 win. The Celtics didn't play particularly well. They shot only 44% and allowed the Bobcats to shoot 49%. The defense allowed way too many easy baskets. The Celtics were also out rebounded 33-32 and had 13 turnovers. It seemed the whole game tha...
