Chicago Sports Slant: Blackhawks fire Savard after four (4) games
Original at Chicago Sports Slant

By Kevin Chroust Thursday, October 16, 2008 Blackhawks fire Savard after four (4) games The Blackhawks today announced the firing of head coach Denis Savard just four games into the 2008-09 campaign. Yeah, I also had to read the headline twice. I'm not even really sure what to write about this move because it's so puzzling. Maybe Savard will call Ned Yost tonight for a beer and a hug.
