By neil@chicagocubsonline.com (Chicago Cubs Online) According to an update from the GM Meetings on FoxSports.com, Marlon Byrd is "likely to be targeted by the Cubs." The Cubs plan to move Kosuke Fukudome back to right field and find a true centerfielder ... once Milton Bradley is traded. Mike Cameron is one of the possible solutions, but the former...

By Matt Trueblood Given the number of needs the Cubs still need to fill (another arm for the bullpen, a center fielder, a second baseman, and new hitters for the first and fifth spots in the order, plus a right-handed complement to Kosuke Fukudome in right field), the organization cannot afford hesitation.

A Comprehensive Plan to Fix the Chicago Cubs
Original at Bleacher Report

By TAB BAMFORD With the amount of money the Cubs have tied up in Alfonso Soriano, Milton Bradley, and Kosuke Fukudome, there’s little reason to think the Cubs will be in the market for an outfielder this winter. Replacing Johnson could be as easy as fully promoting internal option Sam Fuld next year. He bat...

By Kurt Ryan Theriot, Kosuke Fukudome, Milton Bradley -- Two former members of the Questionable Quartet and Theriot are leading the way right now with the Cubs. It is perhaps fitting, then, that these guys are usually at the top of the batting order -- and it's about effin' time that Lou moved Brad...

By Kurt Pretty much the entire Cubs offense - Hey, so far they've scored 28 runs this series. Isn't that a little more like it? The only guy to go hitless yesterday was Kosuke Fukudome, who is unfortunately going to be called upon to face lefties a lot more often now that Reed Johnson (affectionate...

By Ray Tannock Oh well. Next at bat is none other than Kosuke Fukudome who had a hot start to that year, he takes the 1-1 pitch, and that’s a popup to second for out number two and just like that the Cubs are in a two-out hole for Derrick Lee. A solo homerun and the Cubs take a 1-0 lead.

By Kurt CF Kosuke Fukudome - Like Soriano, Fukudome may be untradeable. With 2 years and probably more than 25 million left on his current deal, the Cubs would have to eat some of Fooky's contract to ship him off to any team. SP Rich Harden - This is a no-brainer, but who the hell would take him at this po...

By Ben Schwartz The Cubs got a fourth-inning home run from Kosuke Fukudome and another solo shot from Aramis Ramirez in the eighth. By kjchroust@gmail.com (Kevin Chroust) When Carlos Zambrano led the Cubs in no-hit fashion to their third straight win last night as the Phillies completed a four-game sweep of the Brewers, the National League Central Division race ended. A decision also needs to be made in right field, where Kosuke Fukudome has all but lost his starting role, which I certainly don't agree with. I know his bat hasn't been at all productive since the first half, but his glove has absolutely saved the Cubs a number of times. Had he not been in right against the Cardinals the other night to rob the Redbirds of a couple runs, we would have been talking about another blown lead rather than a close win. [read the full post]

By Al Six Cubs have drawn sixteen or more walks -- that's about 0.5 per game or more, or 80+ for a season -- and that includes Ryan Theriot, and Mr. Theriot is, at least in part, going to be the focus of this post. And somewhere along the line, both a Kosuke Fukudome -- who is fundamentally sound and also a...
