By theothermurdockpapers@gmail.com (Christine) Relationship bio: Daredevil saved Milla from being hit by a bus, landing both of them on top of each other in a clothing store. Like Matt, Milla Donovan is blind. She is also unique in that she knew that Matt was Daredevil when they started dating. While Matt initially tries to deny this, Milla soon catches him in a lie. The two married during the famous "lost year" in volume 2. Their relationship has hit a lot of rough spots. When Milla suspected that Matt married her while not in his right mind and still getting over the death of Karen Page, she sought to have their marriage annulled. Matt refused to sign the papers and the two eventually reconciled. They enjoyed a brief period of happiness after Matt's return from Europe during the Brubaker run. [read the full post]

By theothermurdockpapers@gmail.com (Christine) I think the clues have been there all along that the Hand are on recruitment campaign. They've been testing Matt's friends, and "turning" the Black Tarantula and the White Tiger. While I was somewhat surprised that the big twist consisted of offering Daredevil the leadership of the Hand, my surprise wasn't so much that it went counter to what we've seen before, but that the Hand would actually do that. Or rather, that Brubaker would write a story in which the Hand do that. Granted, this may all make sense further down the line, but right now I have to wonder what strange recruitment strategies they employ or why Daredevil of all people would fit their job description. And, if they bothered doing their research on this guy, they would also know tha... [read the full post]

By theothermurdockpapers@gmail.com (Christine) and tells us that, as far as he knows, there's nothing solid on a Daredevil movie reboot. Read about this on Sci Fi Wire that offers some coverage on a group interview conducted last week. To just offer some of my own comments, it appears that Daredevil #116 will be all about the Kingpin. This isn't unexpected, and even seems reasonable, but I will miss not getting a chance to see Matt in action. Whether he happens to be in a Daredevil costume, a business suit or, well... naked. ;) [read the full post]

Daredevil #111 Marvel Comics Brubaker, Mann, Gaudiano & Hollingsworth The start of a new arc gains a new reader: me. I read the freebie last month that explained the past four or five arcs of Daredevil and level set the field for new readers. I heard this issue was great so I gave it a shot and I liked it a lot. I didn’t think it was outstanding but I found it to be a really good start to a new arc. The story appears to be simple enough. Matt and Dakota North, private eye, spend a little too much time together while Lady Bullseye watches Matt and some others reporting her findings to those who are ready to take them down. That’s really the whole story. However, the story goes deeper than just that. [read the full post]
