Brian Rafalski remains out, missing out on a return to New Jersey, where he started his NHL career. With Rafalski out, Jakub Kindl remains in thr Wings lineup. Thankfully, Jonathan Ericsson was not seriously injured in Thursday's loss to the Oilers so he's in tonight.

Defenseman Jakub Kindl said he had trouble sleeping after getting into Detroit on Wednesday night. He was called up by the Red Wings from the Grand Rapids Griffins and made his NHL debut Thursday night against Edmonton because Brian Rafalski was sidelined by a stiff back.
