By noreply@blogger.com (Jamie Jeffords) the BBC has unveiled the new Doctor Who logo for the fifth series. It is not as flashy as the one they used for Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant. It has sort of a retro feel to it. I cannot decide if I like the new look since i have yet to get a feel for Matt smith's Eleventh Doctor.

By asepinwall@starledger.com (Alan Sepinwall) I've only seen two of the specials so far, but there's this recurring theme about The Doctor not wanting to take on a new companion because of what happened in "Journey's End." Was Christopher Eccleston always only going to do it for a year?

By Cynthia When I think of ‘Doctor Who’, it’s David Tennant’s face that rises before me. And when I got my dvds in the mail and watched Season 1 I enjoyed it enormously, but with the knowledge that Christopher Eccleston wasn’t staying. That he was going to morph into David Tennant. And I was okay with that. I...

By noreply@blogger.com (Siskoid) It's not that Christopher Eccleston stayed too briefly to have his own era, but rather that New Who up til now has been Russell T Davies' story above all. Starting with "Rose", it's a story that only finds its conclusion in Journey's End, 4 years and 2 Doctors later. RTD reinvents the program f...

By keith@decandido.net Since the show's relaunch in 2005, the BBC has aired a Doctor Who Christmas Special every 25th of December. The results haven't always been Who at its best. 2005's "The Christmas Invasion," David Tennant's first full story as the Tenth Doctor replacing Christopher Eccleston, was a bog-st...

By Angela Mitchell And what a treat, with David Tennant bouncing around the universe, bringing this brand-new hilarity and energy to the Doctor ("Ten"). By Matthew Milam Father's Day" which aired back during Series 1 and the era of Christopher Eccleston was quite a different story.
