The season premiere of Entourage, like this review, was better late than never. Turtle- well we didn't see too much of Turtle on the premiere episode. But, it is clear that Jamie-Lynn Sigler is what drives him right now.  He is driven by love to be with the woman he loves. For the first time, it is he that is spending the night at his significant others home.  She is the first person that has driven a wedge between him and Vince.  Is he still loyal, yes?  But, this is a guy that would drop everything to be there for Vince and literally drive him around all day.  Not anymore. So, ultimately, this premiere of Entourage has mapped out what road lays ahead for the boys this season.  I for one am up for the for drive.   [read the full post]

CBS) Kevin Connolly is best known as part of California's coolest male posse on the TV series "Entourage." Now he's a guy giving and getting mixed signals in the film "He's Just Not That Into You." The star-studded cast includes Ben Affleck, Jennifer Anniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, Scarlett Johansson, Bradley Cooper, Ginnifer Goodwin and Justin Long. Although most of Connolly's scenes were with Scarlett Johansson or Justin Long, the "Entourage" star isn't complaining. And while you’d think the tan Canadian beauty would have producers groveling at her feet, she says she had to audition just like everyone else to score the coveted role of Sloan, the ex-girlfriend of E (Kevin Connolly) and the daughter of a Hollywood exec. “It was an audition, three times and that was it,” Emmanuelle, 31, says of the role she scored in 2007. “Kevin and I just instantly had a connection and it was great. After watching tonight's Entourage, I felt blue.  All of our main characters : Vince (Adrian Grenier), Eric Murphy (Kevin Connolly) and Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) are at crossroads in their career.  Said crossroads represent more than just a paycheck however. What of Eric Murphy?  Tonight found him chasing Seth Green around in what turned out to be a fool's game.  Seth never intended to be in Charlie's (Bow Wow) pilot.   Truly, it seemed the only thing Seth wanted was another shot at Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui).    Interestingly, it looks like he might have miscalculated, because, by playing his game, he may have brought Eric and Sloan one step closer to getting back together.    [read the full post]

So, this got me thinking.   Who really runs the show on Entourage?  There is so much talk about the playboy lifestyle of Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier), Eric Murphy (Kevin Connolly), Drama (Kevin Dillon), and Turtle (Jerry Ferrara). In the past episodes, our boys have been lead around by women who want something from them.  I could list them all here, but Entourage already put out a coffee book for that. So, I say hats off to Doug Ellin, for fooling them all.  You have all the guys out there thinking they are watching a show about hot chicks and a rockin' Hollywood lifestyle.   But, we truly smart women see thru it all.  Thanks for lookin' out and representin'!   [read the full post]

ENTOURAGE New Episode Pie  The title of this week's episode of Entourage refers to the Banana Cream Pie that Jason Patric stole from Vincent Chase's (Adrian Grenier) sidekick Turtle (Jerry Ferrara).  But, ultimately, it refers to a lot more...... Vincent Chase lived in a Hollywood that handed him everything when he first made it big.  He had his piece of the pie and then some.  One might even say he had his cake and ate it too.  Along with his Entourage (Kevin Connolly's Eric Murphy, Kevin Dillon's Kevin Dillon, and the aforementioned Turtle), he had Hollywood on a silver platter. Right now, Vince needs to concentrate on eating his Humble Pie, and getting back on every directors' menu in Hollywood. Then, he will get his just desserts again!!   [read the full post]

Kevin Connolly: There’s a lot of ballbusting. Fuhgedaboudit. We all dish it out. In real life Jeremy Piven is that fast-talking guy—get into a verbal battle with him and you’ll go down in flames, guaranteed. That whole life-imitating-art thing is trickiest for Adrian Grenier. He’s an actor playing an actor, so people often want him to be Vince, but he’s not. He’s Adrian. Kevin Dillon’s a sick lunatic for golf, always talking smack and practicing his swings. Jerry Ferrara is the least like his character—he’s a supersmart dude who is not a stoner slacker. Personally, I wouldn’t stand for some of the abuse E, my character, takes from Ari, played by Jeremy. Vince (Adrian Grenier) is unnerved by stern advice from Verner (Stellan Skarsgård), the demanding director of "Smokejumpers." Meanwhile, Eric is dismayed to learn that Seth Green is on the short list for Charlie's pilot, and Andrew receives a makeover from Ari (Jeremy Piven) and Lloyd (Rex Lee) .  News of Seth being a part of Charlie's (Bow Wow) new show will surely bring dismay to Eric Murphy.  The two have gotten in a few heated interactions in the past, due to Seth's supposed prior relationship with E's now ex-girlfriend Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui). Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) proved tonight that he is the ultimate Chess King.  He trumped his enemies (Amanda Daniels played by Carla Gugino and Josh Weinstein played by Joshua LeBar) by making just the right move at the right time. It ws interesting to see Eric Murphy (Kevin Connolly) engage in busines with Josh Weinstein.  E has to walk a thin line, if he thinks that Josh will have work for one of his clients in the future.  After all, he has 2 other clients (Bow Wow will be back next week).  Ari's "work spouse" Lloyd and Mrs. Ari both confirmed what we already knew- Ari Gold was more interested in being his own man than making money.  If it really was able the money, he would have dropped Vincent Chase a long time ago.   [read the full post]

While I watched Entourage tonight, I was glad that Vince and E had a chance to glimpse into Dom's life, and see that he had changed.  It allowed them to see where he had gone in his life.  Unfortunately, they had to watch him lose it all.  But, the great news is that they were there for him when he needed to to be.  If Vince and E hadn't bailed Dom out of jail, he still would have lost everything.  But, he would have been alone when he did it.  So, it was true friendship that led them there in his darkest hour of need- losing his family.I haven't been there for my "Vince" in the past few years, nor has she been there for me.  Recently, she sent me an email telling me that she still considered my her oldest and dearest friend.  Nothing could replace the memories we h...   [read the full post]

What could have been a well written look into the true psyche of the 5 main characters of Entourage turned out to be the flatest episode of the season so far.  I was left feeling like I was being left out of an inside joke.  What truly did Vincent discover on this journey, and once again, what about the rest of the gang?    I guess we are supposed to gather from this that Ari is lost without Lloyd, but that was too obvious. Or, that Turtle is still a mama's boy (and is jealous of Vince's relationship with E) What about the fact that E could not talk?  Is it because he has to do so much fast talking these days? Sep. 14th, 2008 at 10:29 PM As I watched the 2nd episode of Season 5 of Entourage, I had to laugh at how many famous names and faces graced this episode.  As Ari, Eric and Vincent discussed the potential new projects for Vincent, the names Tobey Maguire, Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg were thrown at us.  Interesting that Tobey and Leo are Kevin Connolly's real life good friends, and that Mark Wahlberg appeared as himself later in the episode.  What more, Kevin's other good pal Lukas Haas made an appearance later on, along with Giovanni Ribisi, as aspiring screenwriters.  Did I mention this episode was only 27 minutes long? It was still nice to see the boys on 32 inches rather than the small window of my laptop. Tonight's show reminded me of a few things. Vincent Chase is very lucky to have such a loyal crew. Last season, he had almost become someone you could respect. Did he make a mistake putting so much trust in Billy Walsh? Yes. Did he still have fun whenever possible? Absolutely. But, he seemed to grow up somehow. Watching Vinnie lounging in bed, on the beach, and in a hammock during tonight's premiere reminded me of the guy that wouldn't even read his own scripts back in seasons 1 and 2. A source tells us Connolly had been cruising with Paciello shortly before Paciello punched out knife-wielding ex-con Will Wright. (Paciello and Wright both say they were acting in self-defense.)
