By Regina Libian (inaya404) Mr. Pugh has announced he will be popping his cherry and showing a full menswear collection in Paris this upcoming Fall / Winter 2009 Fashion Week. He has integrated menswear into his predominantly womenswear collections many times and his pieces sell well amongst males as well as females in the buyer's market, but the prospect of an entire menswear show is very exciting. After the story he told with his womenswear debut in Paris just a few months ago, there is much to look forward to indeed. It must be quite a transition for him, I would imagine. I always sort of am perplexed at the demands of designers who show each season... it seems there is no break or time to relax. Particularly when the designer has gender separate lines, but I suppose that's neit...   [read the full post]

He's taken some of the muscle out of the theatrics and put it into the detailing and what a fantastic shift it is. With a somehow robotic, Elizabethan samurai look... the pieces are each a work of art in their own right, yet they're very thoughtful and actually quite body-conscious an...   [read the full post]

By Regina Libian (inaya404) 25 October 2008 @ 10:06 pm Katsuhide Morimoto for Undercover   Jun Takahashi chose photographer Katsuhide Morimoto to depict the story of the Grace collection and what a job he did. I love these photos so much. They are, of course, the photography that lined the walls of the otherwise completely sterile showroom for Undercover's S/S 09 collection. I really love the mood to them, it is so apparent and is conveyed so well. These photos as well as possibly more, are said to be later released as a book, which is said to be published later in the year. I just had to post the full photos here as they were small in the pics of the collection itself. Please click them for larger photos. :) Tags: jun takahashi, s/s 09, undercover   Leave a comment   24 October 2008 @...   [read the full post]
