ABC Soaps In Depth is twittering that Franco approached GH about a role and it wasn’t the other way around.  But that just doesn’t seem possible.   Now don’t get me wrong I am not saying that joining General Hospital, no matter how brief, would be a step down for the actor, in fact just the opposite.  Us soap lovers have know for years that some of the best actors and stories has been on daytime television.  One of the first out gay characters was funny enough on a show called Soap.  All My Children did a spectacular job portraying Erica Kane’s decision to have an abortion.   The rape of Marty Saybrook was not only shockingly real but emotionally jarring.  And one the best AIDS related stories to ever be portrayed was on our very own General Hospital.  So...
