He tries turning Hal into a Black Lantern in a particularly disgusting and magnificent pair of panels, but Ganthet and Sayd jump in and save his frying bacon. They are then promptly swallowed by the Spectre, so Hal jumps in and returns the favor.

The JSA convened its first meeting to discuss their separate adventures in All Star Comics #3. Superman and Batman were honorary JSA members with Wonder Woman serving as group Secretary. The Society had their first animated appearance as a group two weeks ago in the Cartoon Network series...

And a clever plan it was, involving Nekron, Black Lanterns, death, destruction and the War Of Light, all more or less brought on by the stupidity of the Guardians. Oh, and Hal will probably quit the Green Lantern Corps again.

Hal really doesn't even show up in this issue, which is unnusual to say the least, but I can't say that I missed him at all, because Sinestro and Carol have one heck of a duel going on, over in Zamaron. but the former Sinestro Corps members...now Black Lanterns!

Turns out that the Hope Lanterns were a bit confused themselves, Ganthet doesn't mean for Hal to BECOME a Blue Lantern, simply to provide them with the necessary power. Hal gets a bit huffy here, declaring that he's not a battery.

That these four lanterns are from the keystone of the Multiverse, Earth, and to stop the Blackest Night from occurring, the four Earthling Lanterns must bear witness to the Blackest Night. One of the Guardians locks horns with Superman-Prime. The Guardians states that he willingly sacrifices his own life to rid the universe of Superman-Prime.
