Original at Green Lantern Butt's FOREVER! external link    Fri, Oct 23

By SallyP(noreply@blogger.com) Soranik and Iolande are trying to get the remaining wounded to Mogo, where they hopefully will be safe. A dead Ke'haan is taunting Guy, who blows him up, and then is smart enough to highttail it out of there. Arisia is fighting her family. Vath and Isamot are fighting a bunch of Black Lanterns, i...

By SallyP(noreply@blogger.com) So the remaining Sinestro Corps members are all happy, Arkillo in particular. The poor citizens of Korugar are terrified and relieved at the same time that Sinestro has shown up to save them in their darkest hour. And then of course, two Black Lanterns show up that have particular meaning fo...

By SallyP(noreply@blogger.com) And now, for a belated review of Green Lantern, which actually came out last Wednesday, but I was locked in the throes of Guy Gardner week. Nevertheless, it is fabulous...as usual. On Earth, Barry is fighting with J'onn...or is he? Oops. Oh crap. That's a bit of an understatement, John.

By noreply@blogger.com (SallyP) Ganthet and Sayd do show up and explain things a little further. Turns out that the Hope Lanterns were a bit confused themselves, Ganthet doesn't mean for Hal to BECOME a Blue Lantern, simply to provide them with the necessary power. Hal gets a bit huffy here, declaring that he's not a battery.

The Guardians enact the third law to ban relationships among Lanterns, but it is a little too late when dealing with a pregnant Lantern that’s being hunted by a monster. This issue helps to build up the Sinestro Corps villain, Kryb, and puts the Corps in quite a bad spot. It’s a good issue with p...

By noreply@blogger.com (collectededitions) What Green and Johnson accomplish here is a cogent deconstruction of the concept of kryptonite. It's an item much lampooned--consider, the most powerful man in the world, and he can be taken out by a little rock that near everyone has a piece of--and yet the writers offers a compelling reas...

I also don't like the suggestion that he will create even more different colored lanterns in the future and that the next big villain for the series....is another Superman villain with a yellow ring!?
