By noreply@blogger.com (Rokk Krinn) DC COMICS GREEN LANTERN CORPS #28 MARVEL COMICS Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? I am interested in Big Hero Six #1. I dig anything related to Japan. I love manga, anime, Sentai and Kaiju so it is only natural that this Sentai inspired comic book would grab my attention. I hope that Claremont is able to deliver an entertaining read that retains a fun Sentai flavor to it. Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That is an easy choice. Amazing Spider-Man #571. This title continues to be a dog. My childhood loyalty and love for Spider-Man is truly being put to the test with what Marvel is currently doing with Amazing Spider-Man.   [read the full post]

By noreply@blogger.com (Rokk Krinn) DC COMICS MARVEL COMICS Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? This is easy. Justice Society of America Annual #1. C’mon, it is Power Girl returning to Earth-2, baby! How could you not be excited for this issue? I have been waiting for this moment pretty much the second after DC wiped away Earth-2 back in 1986. It has been a damn long wait and I am going to enjoy every second of this issue. Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? I am definitely more excited about the selection of comic books headed our way from the House of Ideas than I am by what DC is offering. I am certainly looking forward to Newuniversal 1959. I have thoroughly enjoyed Ellis’ work on Newuniversal and am eager to see Ellis fleshing out the past on...   [read the full post]

By noreply@blogger.com (Rokk Krinn) DC COMICS MARVEL COMICS All right, let’s check out the comic books for this week. We have 15 titles headed to the Bunker. This week’s shipment of comic books is still Marvel heavy, but we are getting more DC titles this week than the tiny selection that we got last week. However, the DC comic book that I am most looking forward to reading has to be Batman #676. Morrison kicks off the much anticipated “Batman RIP” story arc with this issue. DC has been hyping this story arc as a huge event. That Batman’s world is going to radically change in this story arc. That remains to be seen, but there is no doubt that DC has succeeded in piquing my interest in “Batman RIP.”   [read the full post]

By Rokk Krinn DC COMICS MARVEL COMICS All right, let’s check out the comic books for this week. We have surprisingly small week with just 9 titles headed to the Bunker. This week’s shipment of comic books is ever so slightly heavier with DC titles than Marvel titles.

By Rokk Krinn DC COMICS BOOSTER GOLD #7 COUNTDOWN TO FINAL CRISIS #7 GREEN LANTERN CORPS #22 LEGION OF SUPER HEROES IN THE 31ST CENTURY #12 SALVATION RUN #5 SUPERMAN #674 MARVEL COMICS I’m looking forward to Superman #674 only because Mon-El will be getting some panel time in this issue. Anytime a comic book guest stars a Legionnaire, my interest automatically increases. I’m excited about Green Lantern Corps #22. All the exhilarating events taking place with the rise of the different Lantern Corps makes this title a must read. As always, I’ll try my best to start posting reviews as soon as possible. I hope everyone enjoys their new comic books for this week.   [read the full post]

By Rokk Krinn Captain America #34 Green Lantern #27 Project Super Powers #0 The Winner: Project Super Powers #0 There were plenty of excellent reads this week. This was a tough decision to make. Green Lantern #27 was a great read. I liked the new Alpha-Lanterns and am extremely excited about the direction of this title. But, then I read Super Powers #0 and just like Eli Manning engineering a last second win in the Super Bowl, Ross and Krueger managed a last second win against Brubaker. I know that many people would select Captain America #34, but the fact is Project Super Powers #0 was simply the best issue that I read this week. Captain America may be one of the best titles, but for this one week, Captain America wasn’t the best read.   [read the full post]
