Flirting with Forty- a sweet, fun flick for the ladies! December 9th, 2008 Check our gallery for more location photos Heather Locklear and Robert Buckley ( Kirby from Lipstick Jungle) enjoy a vacation fling when she goes to Hawaii for her birthday and gets a gift she didn’t know she needed…..the road to romance involves a lot of frequent flyer miles and lots of long distance phone calls. Along the way Heather’s Jackie learns a lot about herself and what real love is in the arms of a younger man. Buckley is gorgeous- as always and Heather is really likable and vulnerable yet strong playing a divorced woman trying to balance being a mom, a business owner, a lover and dealing with a nasty ex-husband. I LIKED her character and felt the romance had a very real feel to it. I liked that the movie covers an entire year of their budding relationship and shows both characters growing and getting closer together. One of the issues I always have with romantic films is the love at first sight with little consideration for what comes when the first rush is past. Flirting with Forty shows some very real conflicts and also how a relationship that starts out with a bang and a flush of passion can get even more exciting as two people get to know one another and really open their hearts and let people into their lives.
