And someone from Pinehearst had already talked to Stephen Canfield (Andre Royo). Plus now we know how Daphne and Matt (another family connection) meet since he's on her recruit list.

And Shane from dingoRUE says (in Heroes Season 3 Episode 5) Adam’s not happy to see Hiro, seeing as he buried him alive and all. Hiro’s willing to take risks to save the world. Adam says the villain is probably Angela Petrelli, an answer Hiro doesn’t like.

It appears all the strings are being pulled by Arthur Petrelli, the father.
