How long is Marshall going to wrestle with being a sell-out? If it bothers him so much, then he and Lily should totally scale back on their lifestyle so he can work in an environmental job. Plenty of couples make do with a lot less money, so what’s the big deal?

HIMYM 5×13 — “Jenkins”: This was a decent stand-alone episode. I’m usually not much of a Marshall fan, but I was reasonably interested in what was happening with him and Lily. I especially liked their dialogue about the reacher and the settler in a relationship, but didn’t agree that Lily wa...

I thought the musical number was fun. I didn’t particularly care for the storyline leading up to the song, but whatever. As much as I love Neil Patrick Harris, though, I have to wonder why Barney is getting so much play lately. He’s supposed to be a secondary character yet he seems to be the prima...

Ok, I know this is old, old news (like from 2 months ago), but I try to stay away from spoilers about shows I watch. But I just now read that Rachel Bilson will appear in the 100th episode of How I Met Your Mother, and will apparently play a pretty significant role! I love Rachel Bilson from her tim...

I wasn’t even into the slap storyline all that much. As soon as Ted and Robin started arguing about who would get to deliver it, I knew it would be Marshall in the end. And when they started passing the slap rights all around the room, that simply confirmed my earlier suspicions and made me roll m...

What I do not want to live with is that Robin will end up with this Don guy, whoever he is. Even though we only saw him briefly, the rest of the episode made it clear that this is supposed to turn into a long-term and/or serious thing for Robin. WTF??? I don’t want to see that. I can live with Barney and...

– The Marshall and Lily subplot was consistent with their characters’ histories, so in that respect it was kind of funny.
– Alan Thicke and Robin Sparkles were in a variety show together? You just know Barney will uncover video evidence, which means viewers will also get a peek soon. I can’t w...

This episode did have some good parts, like the Barney/Lily fantasy pairing, but on the whole it felt like I was simply waiting for laughs that never materialized. Still, it was nice to see Marshall get something substantial to do for once.

– I really don’t like Ted or Marshall anymore. In the first two seasons of the show, Ted was my favorite, but it’s been all downhill ever since he broke up with Robin. Now Barney tops my list, followed by Robin, then Ted, Lily, and Marshall. If only Lily and Marshall had something to do every week,...
