By Rokk Krinn(LaRevolucion44@aol.com) MARVEL COMICS Which DC comic book am I most looking forward to reading? Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? The Marvel comic book that I am most looking forward to reading is Secret Warriors #8. Hickman has done a fantastic job with this title. I am interested in this current story arc dealing with Ares and Phobos. I like that Hickman is going to have the Secret Warriors fighting two different enemy factions as we are going to see our heroes clash with Norman Osborn's Dark Avengers and Thunderbolts as well as still having to deal with Hydra and their mysterious plans. Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading?   [read the full post]

By LaRevolucion44@aol.com (Rokk Krinn) MARVEL COMICS IMMORTAL IRON FIST #23 INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #11 X-MEN NOIR #4 All right, let's take a look at the new comic books for this week. We are getting a fairly average sized week with 11 comic books. Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? That would be Guardians of the Galaxy #11. This title is always a dependable read and things should be heating up on this title since War of Kings is now officially underway. Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be Invincible Iron Man #11. This title has yet to make a positive impression on me. My favorite Marvel character has certainly seen better days.   [read the full post]

By noreply@blogger.com (Rokk Krinn) MARVEL COMICS CAPTAIN AMERICA: THEATER OF WAR: OPERATION ZERO-POINT #1 MARVEL 1985 #6 NOVA #18 THOR #11 ULTIMATE CAPTAIN AMERICA ANNUAL #1 WOLVERINE ORIGINS #29 We are getting yet another monster sized shipment of comic books headed to the Bunker today. We are getting a total of 17 titles. This selection of titles is heavier with Marvel titles this week. Which Marvel comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be Wolverine: Origins #29. This title has been doing its best to make Wolverine less cool with each issue. I was happy to see Mike Deodato take over as the artist for this title. I dig Deodato’s work. Now if we could just get Way removed as the writer then maybe this title might actually become an enjoyable read.   [read the full post]

By noreply@blogger.com (Rokk Krinn) MARVEL COMICS CAPTAIN AMERICA #43 HULK #7 NEW AVENGERS #46 Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? Captain America #43 is sure to be another strong read. Brubaker is so consistently good with this title. I am curious to see where Brubaker takes this title now that he has concluded his massive Lukin/Red Skull story. However, the Marvel comic book that I am least looking forward to reading is New Avengers #46. The Secret tie-in issues on Mighty Avengers and New Avengers have become practically unreadable as it is patently obvious that Bendis is just killing time until Secret Invasion concludes.   [read the full post]

By noreply@blogger.com (Rokk Krinn) Mighty Avengers #19 Titans #6 The Winner: Mighty Avengers #19 Titans #6 Yup. I had to award the Sequential Methadone Award for the worst read of the week to Mighty Avengers #19. Skrull-Vell then runs across some Skrull Super Soldiers and ends up kicking their asses. Skrull-Vell then blasts into space and sees the Skrull armada. Captain Skrull-Vell then attacks the Skrull armada. Skrull-Vell is overwhelmed and blasted by the big cannons from the Skrull ships. As Skrull-Vell falls to Earth he thinks about Mar-Vell’s life and states that “Mar-Vell was the name I was given.” Skrull-Vell plummets into the ground. Marvel Boy is on the scene and holds Skrull-Vell’s body. Marvel Boy has a confused look on his face.   [read the full post]

By noreply@blogger.com (Rokk Krinn) MARVEL COMICS IRON MAN DIRECTOR OF SHIELD #34 MIGHTY AVENGERS #19 ULTIMATE ORIGINS #5 We have a monster sized shipment of comic books headed to the Bunker today. We are getting a total of 18 titles. This selection of titles is evenly split between Marvel and DC. I am going to have to take an extra long lunch hour today in order to get a head start on all of these comic books. I have little interest in Mighty Avengers #19. This looks to be yet another boring flashback Secret Invasion tie-in issue. With Secret Invasion lumbering on with little direction or purpose, the various tie-in issues on New Avengers and Mighty Avengers are rapidly dropping in terms of quality. I see no reason for that trend to reverse itself with Mighty Avengers #19.   [read the full post]

We are getting a total of 17 titles. This selection of titles is heavier with Marvel titles this week. Which Marvel comic book am I most looking forward to reading? This big event is overstayed its welcome and I am just weary of this story. It has taken too long and has delivered way too small of a pay-off. However, the Marvel comic book that I am least looking forward to reading is New Avengers #46. By Rokk Krinn MARVEL COMICS It appears to be the week of Iron Man. The movie debuts last weekend and now we get two new Iron Man titles this week. Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas #1 should be a fun read. By Scott Weinberg Downey is a survivor, no doubt, and he's also a refreshingly engaging actor to watch -- and boy was I thrilled when Marvel announced that this would be the guy to portray Tony Stark.
