Is Kevin Connolly really Eric Murphy minus the short jokes from Ari Gold? Are the boys just like the characters they play on this hilarious, self-referential send-up of Hollywood power play? Is real life for the "Entourage" guys anything like reel life? Back at the HBO party, I had a conversation with four-time Emmy- and three-time Golden Globe-winning actor Jeremy Piven, who plays super-agent Ari Gold. After I had accosted him at the buffet line, of course. And then I met Kevin Dillon. Celebuzz spotted Kelsey Grammer taking his daughter, Mason Olivia, 7, by the hand as they made their way out of the gift shop loaded up with baseball goodies. He was smiling too, and oddly wearing a sports jacket. Doesn't he know this is Dodger Stadium and not some sort of polo event? An Entourage casting call? No way! Characters by the name of Ashley Marsh and Marlo Klein will be appearing on Entourage this season. Marlo is the wife of Andrew Klein, who'll be a fixture in the sixth season. Marlo is desperately trying to fit into a world she doesn't understand -- the glitz and glam of L.A. Oh, and having some spare change to spend. Marsh will be a new love interest for E, - she's smoking hot and works in advertising.Filming for the sixth season will start up in about a month. It came as no surprise that Golden Globe-winner Anna Paquin ("True Blood") was at the HBO party. The same goes for Mark Wahlberg, Kevin Connolly, Jeremy Piven and Golden Globe-winners Tom Hanks (who produced the miniseries "John Adams") and Laura Linney (who co-starred in it). Golden Globe-winners Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin (NBC's "30 Rock") and Showtime actors Michael C. Hall ("Dexter") and Kevin Nealon ("Weeds") sipped complimentary champagne and cocktails courtesy of HBO, the most successful network of the night with six statues to its credit. In regards to Eric and Sloan :  it always bothered me that Sloan was so bothered by how Eric was always running off to do something for Vince.  After all, Vince is his job.  Tonight, she made two jabs that lead me to believe that her character is not able to take Eric's job seriously.  The first was when she said that her boyfriend worked.  As if to say Eric did not work.  The other was when Eric was leaving and mentioned that he was up at Big Bear where Vince was filming a movie.  Sloan made a comment like "of course", as if to say that "of course" Eric would be with Vince.  Well, he is his personal manager ,isn't he? I think the Ari storyline represents his overall disatisfaction with his career at this point in his life. Ari seems to want more- he's just not sure what he wants or how to get it. He considered the studio head job, but did some real soul searching enough to know that wasn't for him. But, I think he really wants out from under Barbara's thumb. Although they are partners in the agency, somehow he keeps defering to her (for all those women who complain that Entourage is too chauvonistic, I counter with the fact that the strongest and smartest characters on this show are women - Barbara( Beveryly D'Angelo) , Dana Gordon( Constance Zimmer) , Amanda Daniels( Carla Gugino) , Mrs Ari (Perry Reeves) ). URTH CAFFE JULY 10, 2008 Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) proved tonight that he is the ultimate Chess King.  He trumped his enemies (Amanda Daniels played by Carla Gugino and Josh Weinstein played by Joshua LeBar) by making just the right move at the right time. So, Ari took her out of the game in 2 moves.  First, he brought frienemy Dana Gordon (Constance Zimmer) back into the mix.  Hoping just to be Ari's 2nd, Dana Gordon may not have even imagined that she herself had a shot at the head of Warners.  Ari was able to put a mate/checkmate move and get Dana the job of a lifetime and Vincent (Adrian Grenier) a 2nd chance at the life he always wanted.
