Comic Book Review: Justice League of America #19
Original at Rokk's Comic Book Revolution

By Rokk Krinn We slide over to Batman and Superman hearing the Joker’s laughter. Suddenly, the same blue energy beams appear and wrap up our two heroes. Batman comments that someone who knows the JLA is playing them. It is absolutely bizarre how the Justice League of America has been used as nothing more than a jumping off point and an advertisement for stories to take place on another title. We already just had to suffer through Justice League of America #16 that was an issue long ad for the new Tangent: Reign of Superman maxi-series that just came out this week. We also had the Justice League of America used as the kicking off point for the story arc involving the Time Stealers over on Booster Gold. [read the full post]

By Rokk Krinn This week had several very entertaining reads. Justice League of America #18 and Mighty Avengers #9 were both pleasant surprises as both issues delivered enjoyable and fun reads this week. Both issues were fast reads that offered a delightful bit of escapism. This issue also gave us a neat little character study on Batman. We get a nice glimpse into Batman’s dismissal and dislike of anything magic. We also get to see the Batman/Zatanna relationship that Dini created over in Detective Comics fleshed out a bit more. I like that when Batman is tempted with living in a perfect world that he envisions himself with Zatanna. I have to say that I actually dig the idea of Batman with Zatanna. They are different enough that they would make for an entertainin... [read the full post]

The two Lanterns then hold Lex still and let Superman take a free shot at Lex. Superman then takes out Lex. Batman then tells Firestorm that he is going to join the JLA. Firestorm thanks Batman for the offer, but says that he doesn’t have the time right now for that. Batman retorts that it wasn’t an offer. That it is the way it’s going to be.
