Kid Rock will co-headline the country-focused Stagecoach Festival next year, slated for April 25th and 26th at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The event is produced by the organizers of the Coachella Festival, the alternative music showcase that will take place at the same location a week earlier. Rock will be joined by fellow headliners Kenny Chesney, Reba McEntire and Brad Paisley, as well as dozens of other artists from the genres of mainstream country, bluegrass, folk, roots rock and alt-country.
Rock had a huge crossover hit in 2003 with “Picture” and enjoys spending time in the country music capital of Nashville. He told us a while back that he was pleased to be embraced by the country community: “I love hanging out in the country scene. (chuckles) I’m having a ball doing that. Everybody’s so nice in country music. It’s just so relaxed, and laid-back, and friendly, that, you know, it’s always fun to go to stuff, you know, like that.”
Other artists appearing at Stagecoach include Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, the Charlie Daniels Band, Reverend Horton Heat, Jerry Jeff Walker, Ricky Skaggs and many others.
Tickets for Stagecoach go on sale on Friday (November 14th) at 1:00 p.m. ET at all Ticketmaster locations. Ticket prices start at $99 for two-day passes, with a variety of reserved seating, camping and RV packages also available.
Kid Rock taped an episode of VH1 Storytellers last month in Franklin, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville. The show will premiere on Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 27th) at 9 p.m. ET. The singer will also play the 42nd Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday (November 12th).
