Lance Armstrong Survives Cycling Accident

By Livingstrong(dramarthacastro@yahoo.com) Tour Down Under Stage 3 was 'D' stage of hell. It was a carnage, with crashes, heat, winds that reached gusts of 85 km/h and nine riders were forced out of the race with injuries after the crash. The cycling crash occurred very early in the stage at the 12 km right before the breakaway of a group of 16 riders where Lance Armstrong, O'Grady and Michael Rogers were. Fortunately, Lance Armstrong avoided the crash and finished in 39th in the general classification with only + 0:29 seconds, which it's great. He was in 68 place after stage 2. Another cyclist that I adore (not as much as I adore Lance, of course), George Hincapie, is in 12 place in the Overall Classification. I would love to see Georgie in the podium. He is a great cyclist and deserves a good win. [read the full post]
Opening Criterium Tour Down Under

By Livingstrong(dramarthacastro@yahoo.com) The Tour Down Under has started with the Opening Criterium, which is sort of like a prologue to the Tour Down Under but the times won't count towards the General Classification. And it's a good thing because Lance Armstrong came in a very honorable 64th place. This opening race is not a difficult one and it was not one for Lance Armstrong to win since it's a hectic one and more suited for sprinters, and Lance Armstrong is a stage racing cycling bull. I personally think that it was a great come back for Lance because he had the chance to get back in the excitement of competing without the pressure of winning. I am so excited about Lance Armstrong's comeback that I can hardly sleep. This years folks, it's going to be one of my best years in my life! [read the full post]
