By Steve Perrin Obviously, MDsr chose to stick with Telfair, Butler and Smith rather than going back to starters Baron, Thornton and Camby down the stretch. It's hard to argue, given that that was the group that got him back in the game. Certainly Butler and Smith seemed like no-brainers. Thornton had a n...

By Steve Perrin Conversely, if they're out of contention, will they look to clear MORE salary for the 2010 free agency market by moving Kaman or Baron Davis? Or will they try to move Camby to a contender that's looking to add a veteran big for a playoff run in exchange for prospects and picks?

By Steve Perrin Assuming MDsr sticks with the same starting five, Camby will be on Randolph to start. So look for Griffin to get that assignment, or...

By Kevin Arnovitz No disrespect for Jones, but that option for Camby would be a lot more attractive if it’s Eric Gordon, who could take Martin off the dribble with an assertive left-handed drive. Camby Deal Signals The Beginning of the End of the Iverson Era in Denver
Original at 20 Second Timeout
• Thu, Jul 17
By noreply@blogger.com (David Friedman) Any Denver fans who entertained notions that Carmelo Anthony and Allen Iverson would ever lead the Nuggets to playoff glory received a very rude awakening when Nuggets management "traded" starting center Marcus Camby to the L.A. Clippers for the right to swap second round draft picks in 2010. Camby is 34 years old but he is still a highly productive player: he won the 2007 Defensive Player of the Year Award and he has led the NBA in blocked shots the past three seasons and four times overall during his 12 year career. Last season, Camby averaged a career-high 13.1 rpg to rank second in the league. He has been selected to the All-Defensive Team for four straight seasons, including First Team nods in 2007 and 2008.
