With an undisclosed agenda, Madonna landed in Rio de Janeiro on Monday on her private jet for a weeklong trip that might include a visit to social projects and a meeting with governmental officials. The singer brought along the Kabbalah Centre's Rabbi Michael Berg, her partner in the Raising Malawi project, and who also will co-produce a documentary to be filmed in Rio about children and youths that overcome poverty through music and dance, according to Brazilian media. The "Material Girl" is set to visit the southern African country ofMalawi on Sunday and will attend a brick-laying ceremony at the site of a multi-million dollar girls' school her charity is building, Reuters reports. On Monday, Madonna will meet the country's president while laying the foundation stone for her school in Lilongwe, a staffer for the charity, Raising Malawi, told the wire news agency. But we were wrong… We're told that Agron will be covering that other very appropriate song "Papa Don't Preach," Madge's classic tune from 1986 about a young woman telling her dad that she's expecting a baby that she intends to keep. Agron didn't want to give too much away, but she did gush, "When do you stop listening to Madonna? I went home for Thanksgiving last year and we had a bunch of family friends and family over. The paper quoting sources, reported that Madonna will allow Chifundo to spend time with her father and learn about her Malawian background. Kambewa who works as a guard opposed the adoption but failed to legally fight it in courts. However, Madonna wants to "iron out any problems face to face with him in Malawi." Since then, seven different records have made an appearance at number one, with the Black Eyed Peas' Boom Boom Pow claiming the crown on two separate occasions. "Revolver" is pretty standard Top 40 background listening—more of the same electro R&B she played around with on Hard Candy. The problem with "Revolver" is the droning melody—and chances are, Madonna agrees. If her detached, monotone singing is any indication, even she doesn't seem terribly interested in the track. But let's give praise where it's due. That's somewhat understandable since both tracks share predictable megaproducer Timbaland, but it points to a larger problem with Madonna's recent stuff.
