Washington (ANI): Pop singer Madonna's former pal Rupert Evertt has revealed that the singer has not forgiven him after he branded her an 'old whiny barmaid' and published intimate secrets of their friendship in his 2006 autobiography. The actor befriended the 'Material Girl' hitmaker in 1985 when she first began dating Sean Penn and, in his memoir 'Red Carpets' and Other Banana Skin's, Everett admitted he was fascinated by her from their very first meeting. "She really didn't like it (the book). I think it is very affectionate, and certainly with her I was very careful to only write things that were," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

Accompanied by an acoustic guitar, it's just Madonna, her music unadorned by post-production magic and elaborate orchestration. The songs on the tape include "All My Love," "Hear Me" (a song that evolved into "Shine a Light"), "Simon Says" (which became the familiar "Love Express") and "Little Lost Boy." BRASILIA, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Singer and pop icon Madonna will give a concert in Rio de Janeiro this coming New Year's Eve, Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes announced Friday.     The singer will perform at the famous Copacabana Beach, a mecca for more than 2 million partygoers every year. Madonna, who became famous with songs such as "Material Girl," arrived in Rio de Janeiro on Monday to request financial support for some social projects she is working on. On Thursday, the 51-year-old pop singer went to Sao Paulo to meet with a group of women in a poor community. Madonna talked about the positive values transmitted by the Kabbalah, of which she is a follower. Madonna will probably leave Brazil on Friday.
