After spending their evening at the Kabbalah Center in London last night, Madonna and Guy Ritchie were back at the spiritual center yet again this morning (October 24) to receive some religious guidance. Joined by their children Mercy James, David Banda and Lourdes Leon, the former flames were the epitome of civility as they carted their kids to and for the building.
Meanwhile Madonna is due in Malawi this weekend for a week-long charity tour, which has been dubbed a "true Miss Malawi" by a senior Malawi government official.
Madonna is doing a lot for the vulnerable Malawian children, especially girl-children, and as government, we are very grateful for her benevolence," says Women and Child Development Minister Patricia Kaliati.
Madge is scheduled to arrive in Malawi this weekend ahead of Monday's groundbreaking ceremony for her Raising Malawi Girls Academy, a purpose-built elite girls academy, situated just outside the capital, Lilongwe.
Modelled along the lines Oprah's Girl Leadership Academy in South Africa, Madonna's Raising Malawi Academy for Girls will establish "a leadership institution that will prepare future women leaders committed to the vision of a better Malawi through academic excellence and leadership training," according to publicity material for the multi-million dollar project. With Lourdes, Mercy and David all along for the outing, the group headed past awaiting photogs as they ventured inside for the day's activities
Meanwhile, Madge recently opened up about her split from Richie while chatting with Rolling Stone magazine.
Of the split, she tells, "What can you say? It was a challenging year. I think work saved me, and I'm very grateful that I had work to do. I may have thrown myself off a building. Life is an adjustment. It's different. My sons aren't with me right now, they're with their father, and I'm not very comfortable with the idea of my children not living together. There are pros and cons, but I feel good now."
