CBS Press Release Take On Gina Carano.

CBS recently released their October 4th card press release and while the entire article was interesting The MMA News decided to focus on the Gina Carano vs. Kelly Kobald fight. Unfortunately the release says very little about Kobald, and has an interesting write-up on Carano. Here’s the quote:

Gina Carano, of Las Vegas, will attempt to follow up her impressive second-round TKO over Kaitlin Young on May 31 on CBS when she takes on Kelly Kobald of Minneapolis. Carano is a skilled Muay Thai specialist with model looks and world-class ability, while Kobald began her career 16-0-1.

Carano is a skilled Muay Thai specialist but CBS is continuing to market her looks and pretty much ignore her opponents. One cannot blame Carano for the way she’s marketed but CBS should have given some more “write space” to Kobald.
