Talking to FanHouse.com, the former UFC and WEC light-heavyweight champ, as well as former Strikeforce middleweight title holder, talked about his future prospects within the sport of MMA. “If they give the next middleweight title shot to me, it’s because I have a famous name,” Shamrock said. “It would be because it would bring in TV viewers, not because I’ve earned it.” Shamrock last fought on April 11 against Nick Diaz in a catch-weight fight of 179 pounds.
