By www.urbanreview.co.uk Do You Want The Good News Or The Bad News? The bad news is the fact that Ne-Yo's new album - Year Of The Gentleman - has been pushed back from June to August. The good news however, is the fact that I have got a brand new track from the project. Trouble continues the European-Dance theme from Ne-Yo's recent venture, it is a top quality Pop record with some R&B thrown in for good measure. I absolutely cannot fault this guy on what he is doing, he is showing creativity & textbook artist development, it looks as though that 'difficult third album' maybe ever so easy for Ne-Yo.   [read the full post]

By www.urbanreview.co.uk As Previously Reported - Ne-Yo Is Currently Preparing For The Release Of His Third Studio Album - Year Of The Gentleman. Let Just Be is rumoured to be an album track from the forthcoming venture, on first listen, it's pretty good. Solid vocals, smooth production & the same, now classic writing style that we have come to expect from the unstoppable Ne-Yo. From what I have heard of the new new project, Year Of The Gentleman seems to be shaping up to be a really good effort. Ne-Yo has obviously developed well as an artist, this new European sound id really doing it for me.   [read the full post]

By www.urbanreview.co.uk Who Knew Ne-Yo Was Prepping A New Album Already? Not Me, That's For Sure. The project, entitled - Year Of The Gentleman is pencilled in for release on June the 24th & promises to move Ne-Yo in a new direction. Instead of the 'conventional' or contemporary R&B, he is apparently opting for a more international Club/Dance feel. This seems to be a new trend for R&B artists, with Danity Kane, Beyonce, Michelle Williams & now Ne-Yo all heading for the European scene. Still, from what I have heard from these artists, it seems to be a good look. Closer is one hot joint, it's fast paced, banging production, catchy lyrics & top vocal arrangements make for one of the most addictive tracks I have heard in a long time, it will be an internat...   [read the full post]

By www.urbanreview.co.uk Here Is Another New Track To Leak From Ne-Yo New Project - Year Of The Gentleman. Used To You incorporates more of Ne-Yo's new style, it's deep banging beats are complimented well by Ne-Yo's perfectly pitched vocals, he flows brilliantly over the production. While not as instantly likeable as Closer, it is definitely worthy of making his final cut for the album. I am really liking the new Ne-Yo sound, it's much more grow up than previous efforts & shows why he is a Grammy Award winning artist, i cannot see this guy fading away for a long time to come. The fact that he can adapt & change style is a real strength & shows potential longevity in his career.   [read the full post]

New Year, Same Ne-Yo. Here Is The Brand New Video From The Reigning King Of R&B. Go On Girl is set to be the next single lifted from his current hit-filled album; Because Of You. Although I'm not a massive Ne-Yo fan, I find it near impossible to hate on him, his charisma & style make him a real star. However, I don't love this song, I don't love this album, & with Usher on the way with his next offering, I think it's time for Ne-Yo to step up, or fall back.   [read the full post]
