Who Knew Ne-Yo Was Prepping A New Album Already? Not Me, That's For Sure. The project, entitled - Year Of The Gentleman is pencilled in for release on June the 24th & promises to move Ne-Yo in a new direction. Instead of the 'conventional' or contemporary R&B, he is apparently opting for a more international Club/Dance feel. This seems to be a new trend for R&B artists, with Danity Kane, Beyonce, Michelle Williams & now Ne-Yo all heading for the European scene. Still, from what I have heard from these artists, it seems to be a good look. Closer is one hot joint, it's fast paced, banging production, catchy lyrics & top vocal arrangements make for one of the most addictive tracks I have heard in a long time, it will be an international smash, I guarantee it [gulp].
