By sam mcloughln I kind of like the unlocked Sprint Blackberry 8800-series. It works on both EvDO, and has a SIM card. I have also heard rumors that Sprint and Verizon are going to move away from CDMA/ EvDO, and to the G4 international standard. Now, there's a direction I can lock onto!

By sam mcloughln 3. Calendar and Contacts: I use a Mac and the ability of the iPhone to sync flawlessly through iTunes is very important to me. The Missing Sync is nice for the Treo, but I have never gotten it to work reliably for the Palm, and it is even more flaky for Windows Mobile machines.

I didn’t notice any outages in the Sprint service, but there were several places (especially in small, rural areas) where I wasn’t able to get their EVDO...
