If the Philadelphia 76ers are truly the biggest challenge to the Celtics in the Atlantic, then the division may already be won.

Maurice Cheeks said the message he left with his team was the strongest of the season.

After losing three of four games to the Philadelphia 76ers two seasons ago, the Boston Celtics seemed to right themselves last season, winning three of four. But they approach the Sixers with an increased wariness this season.

I’ve been fairly critical of Bibby as an assistant, without really knowing why. As far as the reasoning for not bringing him back, who knows? Jeff Ruland, despite his poor track record as a player once the Sixers dealt Moses Malone for him, actually has a good track record as a coach.

By David Friedman Before the game, TNT analysts Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith critiqued Iverson's game by saying that even though he puts up decent assists numbers he does not really have a point guard mentality; they asserted that he compiles assists primarily because he has the ball so much but that he only passes out of necessity when all of his shooting options are exhausted.
