Ryan Reynolds

The Sooners were leading the Texas Longhorns, 28-20, when a UT lineman fell on Oklahoma middle linebacker Ryan Reynolds, tearing ligaments in Reynolds’ right knee and costing him the rest of his junior season. Texas outscored Oklahoma 25-7 after Reynolds left the game.

Reynolds racked up 24 of his team-high 43 tackles in the past two games. Defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Brent Venables initially gave Reynolds an unheard-of perfect grade for his 14-tackle effort last week against Baylor — then changed it at Reynolds’ insistence.
