I have to offer up a caveat with my above statement because one of the two Q episodes is “Tapestry,” which is one of TNG’s finest hours in that it offers up some humanity to Picard. But that is a little further dow the road. Today’s episode is another oddity, “True Q.”

It is discovered the unnamed aliens live in subspace. They discovered the Enterprise because of a modification in its sensor array which is immediately changed back to normal. The episode ends on a dire warning the aliens were more than simply curious.
