By noreply@blogger.com (Jim) The Titans. Many years ago, Marv Wolfman and George Perez made this into one of the best books on the comics rack. It was always a top of the stack, first read book. Arguments were made as to whether the X-Men or Titans were better. The whole cult sacrifice was a trap to lure Raven to them. Envy offers...

By noreply@blogger.com (collectededitions) While not terribly moved by Sean McKeever's work on Teen Titans, I found his collected Terror Titans actually quite enjoyable. In Teen Titans: On the Clock, McKeever portrayed the villains as more "hip" and interesting than the stuffy good guys; here, McKeever has nothing but villains,...

By Travis This series is one of those outliers that I took a chance on, and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I almost wish we could move Wagner (and maybe Hedley too) over to Wonder Woman and see what they could do with her. Teen Titans 68 by Sean McKeever and Eddy Barrows

By noreply@blogger.com (collectededitions) Sean McKeever accomplishes a near-perfect changeover from previous Birds of Prey writer Gail Simone in Birds of Prey: Metropolis or Dust. I haven't found much to like in McKeever's recent work on Teen Titans, taking over from Geoff Johns, but whereas I felt McKeever's Titans dipped in st...

By noreply@blogger.com (collectededitions) In one of DC Comics's strongest recent eras, the early lead-in to Infinite Crisis, Geoff Johns revitalized what seemed to be a terminal DC franchise, the Teen Titans, mainly by populating it with A-list characters. Gone were the alien Titan clones and even the newer New Titans like Pantha...

We are getting a total of 18 titles. This selection of titles is heavy with Marvel titles. This week’s selection of comic books has the potential to be pretty good. Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be Teen Titans #63. Between McKeever’s Teen Titans and Winick’s Titans, it is certainly a tough time to be a Titans fan. Right now, Tiny Titans is by far and away the best written and most entertaining Titans comic book on the market.   [read the full post]

By Travis If this is all Winnick has left, he needs to leave the industry, take a breather, and do something else. You’ve got eight characters, all of whom have shined in the past, and all being underutilized and portrayed almost as identical ciphers of each other. Someone go ask Wolfman and Perez if th...

By Rokk Krinn The Revolution’s interest in the Teen Titans has declined during the course of this Titans East story arc. That is not a positive sign for the chances of The Revolution enjoying the Teen Titans when Geoff Johns leaves and Adam Beechen assumes full control of this title. The Titans East story arc has definitely not lived up to the hype. It has been rather disappointing. Of course, the best part of Teen Titans #45 was the ending. Without this ending, Teen Titans #45 would have just been an ordinary read. I completely geeked out seeing Cyborg and Raven appear on the scene with some of the old school Titans in Donna Troy, Beast and best of all, Nightwing! Oh yeah, Bart tags along as well wearing Barry and Wally’s Flash outfit.   [read the full post]
