By legacysword@gmail.com (Kevin) Green Lantern #47 – The last issue of Green Lantern freaking rocked. It was the best issue of Blackest Night related material Geoff Johns has written so far for the event. Hopefully the momentum of that last issue will be carried over to this one, and Blackest Night #4.

By noreply@blogger.com (Jim) Writer/Artist: Dan Jurgens The Good: Jurgens continues to show how one change in the time stream can change the future. The consequences of Dick's death allows Trigon to defeat the Titans and take over the world. Dick was one of the key factors in the success of the Teen Titans.

By noreply@blogger.com (Jim) The Titans. Many years ago, Marv Wolfman and George Perez made this into one of the best books on the comics rack. It was always a top of the stack, first read book. Arguments were made as to whether the X-Men or Titans were better. The whole cult sacrifice was a trap to lure Raven to them. Envy offers...

By legacysword@gmail.com (Kevin) Superman/Batman: Public Enemies – Jeph Loeb's work on Superman/Batman was the last work of his that I enjoyed and Public Enemies was his best arc on the title. It should be fun to see how DC Animation adapts this story arc that was honestly built to be an animated feature. DC Animation has done...

By noreply@blogger.com (Andrenn) Now that I think about it there has been more of a sexual undertone then most teenage based Marvel Heroes. While Teen Titans doesn’t seem to shy away from it much it is an undertone that does somewhat fit teenagers. Teenagers are hormonal and off the wall with this kind of stuff so it was interes...

By legacysword@gmail.com (Kevin) Writer: Geoff Johns Artist: Francis Manapul The Good: Adventure Comics #2 was a very underwhelming read. Geoff Johns has failed to catch my interest for this new Superboy and Legion of Superheroes title. Still there were a couple positive things about this issue.

By legacysword@gmail.com (Kevin) On the roof of a nearby building we see that Batman and Robin were watching everything that happened. Robin comments how he can't believe it is the same Batgirl that led The League of Assassins. Batman tells Robin he is right.  Batman says that this Batgirl isn't as good as the other Batgirl. (Wh...

By noreply@blogger.com (Rokk Krinn) DC COMICS SUPERMAN #680 SUPERMAN BATMAN #52 TEEN TITANS #63 MARVEL COMICS HULK #6 MARVEL 1985 #5 NOVA #17 All right, we have a huge shipment of comic books headed to the Bunker today. We are getting a total of 18 titles. This selection of titles is heavy with Marvel titles. This week’s selection of comic books has the potential to be pretty good. Which DC comic book am I least looking forward to reading? That would be Teen Titans #63. Between McKeever’s Teen Titans and Winick’s Titans, it is certainly a tough time to be a Titans fan. Right now, Tiny Titans is by far and away the best written and most entertaining Titans comic book on the market.   [read the full post]

Rate Comic Book Commentary: Batman and the Outsiders

By Rokk Krinn So, DC keeps shuffling the deck with their titles and it appears that the Outsiders have been the latest title to be slated for cancellation. The next issue of the Outsiders, issue #50 will be the last issue. The title then will be re-started as Batman and the Outsiders. That’s right; DC keeps the retro ball rolling by taking the Outsiders back to their roots to that fateful day when Batman told the JLA to go eff themselves. Personally, I’d love it if DC formed an adult version of the Titans for characters like Cyborg, Nightwing, Starfire and Donna Troy and let the new teen heroes led by Wonder Girl and Robin take full control of the Teen Titans.   [read the full post]

By Rokk Krinn Supergirl and Wonder Girl then attack the soldiers. Ravager tells Robin that they need to stop Wonder Girl so she focuses her powers on them and not the soldiers. Robin grudgingly agrees. Miss Martian flies up to engage Supergirl. Supergirl once again retorts that Miss Martian is not in Supergirl’s league. The two girls start brawling. Miss Martian starts slapping the spit out of Supergirl. Blondie suddenly realizes that Miss Martian is most definitely in Super Barbie’s league. Wonder Girl fights with Ravager, Kid Devil and Robin. During the fight, Wonder Girl tells Robin that she is going to do whatever she can to free her mom. Wonder Girl kicks Robin and he flies through the fence surrounding the internment camp. By Rokk Krinn The Revolution’s interest in the Teen Titans has declined during the course of this Titans East story arc. That is not a positive sign for the chances of The Revolution enjoying the Teen Titans when Geoff Johns leaves and Adam Beechen assumes full control of this title. The Titans East story arc has definitely not lived up to the hype. It has been rather disappointing. Of course, the best part of Teen Titans #45 was the ending. Without this ending, Teen Titans #45 would have just been an ordinary read. I completely geeked out seeing Cyborg and Raven appear on the scene with some of the old school Titans in Donna Troy, Beast and best of all, Nightwing! Oh yeah, Bart tags along as well wearing Barry and Wally’s Flash outfit.   [read the full post]
