TSCC News and Review Round-Up November 11th, 2008 Cromartie Goes Down in a Blaze of Glory Edition Last night was the episode that we’ve all been waiting month’s to see. Josh Friedman tortured teased us endlessly with the news that a character portrayed by one of the actors seated at the Comic-Con panel would die this season. As I suspected my favorite villain, Cromartie, fought his final battle with the Connors last night and was on the receiving end of a hail of bullets. Can I say that it was a totally awesome episode that I’ve already watched several times. In case you missed “Mr. Ferguson is Ill Today” (which I know you didn’t) you can catch the episode on Hulu or Fox-on-Demand. A few days ago the Writer’s Blog informed us that immediately following the east coast airing of “Mr. Ferguson is Ill Today” that the doomed actor/actress would participate in a live chat on the SCC wiki. As promised, Garrett Dillahunt, Josh Friedman and Dan Thompson (writer), logged on to the wiki and chatted with the fans. Just in case you live on the west coast like yours truly and couldn’t participate in the chat without spoiling the entire episode you can read the transcript HERE at the wiki. Now that everyone has seen last night’s episode, check out all the bloggers who also watched TSCC and have begun posting their reviews online: TV Squad Buddy TV i09 Zap2it iF Magazine NJ.com TWoP Fancast TVoholic Some loved it and some were so –so about the episode. Now, I may personally disagree with the latter but like I said last week, they’re entitled to their opinion. In addition to the reviews, TV by the Numbers gives us the low-down on the overnight ratings. Let’s face it. There is much room for improvement. We have a full season and new night, now the rest is up to us. Let’s not wait until February to get the ratings up, start now! Don’t forget to remind your friends, family, co-workers or anybody else you know to watch next week’s new episode. In addition, don’t forget to purchase the episodes on Amazon and iTunes. Anywho, one of the nice results of yesterday’s online chat session, was interesting tid-bits from Josh Friedman and gang. The following excerpt is from the TV Addict’s coverage of the chat: (Editor’s Note: Questions asked by the TV Addict are indicated, all others asked by fans) How did Garret Dillahunt handle learning that he’d be “killed” off? Josh Friedman: Garret took it well when I told him he was a goner. He said: whatever’s good for the story.” The TV Addict: Have we really seen the last of Cromartie? Garrett Dillahunt: The writers won’t let us discuss the rest of the season, but I think it’s safe to say you haven’t seen the last of me. Garret, Who’d win in a fight between Cromartie and Cameron? Garrett Dillahunt: Cameron. Although I do think I’d have a chance because she’s just too weak and too small. And she’d be distracted by my good looks. The TV Addict: Will the second season end on a cliffhanger or in a manner in which fans will be satisifed should the show not get picked up for a third season? Josh Friedman: How about the show moving to Fridays? Who knows… I’m happy to be with Joss Whedon and now we’ll see how fervent our fans are…Which is to say… will you stay home? Click HERE for the rest of the interview. You can also check out TV Guide’s coverage of the chat HERE and Seattlepi’s coverage HERE. Now, if you’ve stuck with me so far, then I’m sure you noticed above that Mr. Friedman briefly addresses night for TSCC come February. If you click, HERE, you can get further insight into Fox’s mid-season shuffle and TSCC’s new night from Preston Beckman, Fox’s primetime scheduling executive. Other interviews and articles relating to TSCC cast and crew are listed below: Brian Austin Green: “I’m old,” declares Brian Austin Green jokingly as he sits down for an interview. How can that be? This is the kid we all got to know as Donna Mills’ son on the prime-time soap “Knots Landing” before he spent his TV teen years on “Beverly Hills, 90210.” Now, he plays a time-displaced father figure to heroic teenager John Connor on Fox’s “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” (8 tonight, WTNZ, Channel 43). Sure, Green has grown up before us on network television. But at age 35, he’s hardly ready for a rocking chair and senior discount passes at movies. Click HERE for the rest of the interview. Summer Glau has been selected as on of “EW’s Wildly Underrated TV Actresses” Summer Glau, first in Firefly and now in Terminator. The episode ”Allison from Palmdale” was one of the most amazingly powerful and nuanced performances I have ever seen, and she’ll never get an Emmy nod because she does sci-fi, which seems to be Emmy death! —Ginger Jonathan Jackson and his band are supporting Just Yell Fire, a non-profit that teaches girls to fight back against predators and sexual assault. On with more news and features… Our very own Allergygal has posted the latest edition of the Sarah Connor Comicals. Check it out HERE. Here’s some really cool news.
